“Possibilities, inc.'s primary purpose is to strengthen the ability of people to work together for community change. Core work is providing training & mentoring programs for engagement, enpowerment and leadership in our communities.”
“Possibilities invests its resources in local people by developing community based leaders through our core inside out program (formerly pip) and philosophy. Believing that we must first have a sense of self-worth before we can influence others, possibilities works on creating healthy self- esteem. Once that process has begun, the inside out participant is partnered with other community members to create positive community change. All of this work is based on the values of treating others with dignity, building trust and becoming a servant leader. Our core program consists of incorporating innovative communication tools and helping people to connect, build bridges and overcome conflict. Our process is: increase knowledge, create a passion for the work, learn the skills to do the work, practice the skills and apply to community for impact. This model of capacity growth we call outcome annie, in which we measure growth in five key areas: head (knowledge), heart (passion/attitude/beliefs), hands (skills), heels (putting skills into practice), and home (long-lasting impact). Here is the collection of data that shows our work and impact for the past year: changes in knowledge: understanding our values & methods data shows an average growth rate increase of 23.63%in this category. Findings showed that although there was low growth in most of these areas, participants were actually pretty consistently developed already in most areas, averaging in the 69-79% percentiles in listening, observation and sensitivity to body language. The biggest increase was in understanding facilitation methods, with participants moving from 45% to almost 70% in this area. Changes in attitudes/beliefs: understanding beliefs & embracing ours data shows an average growth rate increase of 24.90%in this category. We see pretty consistent small growth in this category so far. What we conclude so far is that learning tolerance doesnt happen overnight, and those that are already courteous, patient, curious tend to stay that way, while others show incremental improvement over time. We were pleased to see the most substantial increase was in the category of self-confidence. Changes in skills: learning the tools we teach data shows an average growth rate increase of 48.27% in this category. Our biggest growth area was teaching skills, which we are thrilled to see. We saw moderate growth in the areas of meeting planning/conducting/using proper visual aids, but as people have been less willing to meet, that is to be somewhat expected. Our participants that were able to utilize virtual meeting technology saw increased growth of 10%-15% in that area. Strongest growth area was being able to break down information for others (29.67%) and reviewing/recapping information for others. Smallest changes were in the area of addressing concerns and we are working developing more specific content in this area. Changes in behavior: putting new skills into practice data shows an average growth rate increase of 66.42% in this category. We saw the biggest growth in participants ability to adjust. This is exciting to see this important life-skill and facilitator skill increase substantially. Second largest increase was in participants ability to accept constructive feedback and growth in accepting the strengths and limitations of others. Long-term change: long lasting results at home & in community - 70% of alumni engaged in community in a way they would not have before inside out / (formerly pip). See list below - long-lasting relationships: 76% of alumni surveyed still have relationships with people they met through possibilities - continued engagement: 68% of alumni surveyed are currently still engaged in community work - increased engagement: 65% of surveyed alumni stated that possibilities inside out/pip program helped them feel increased engagement in the community alumni examples of being engaged in community in ways they would not have before inside out: working with league of”

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 0 | POSSIBILITIES, INC.'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO STRENGTHEN THE ABILITY OF PEOPLE TO WORK TOGETHER FOR COMMUNITY CHANGE. CORE WORK IS PROVIDING TRAINING & MENTORING PROGRAMS FOR ENGAGEMENT, ENPOWERMENT AND LEADERSHIP IN OUR COMMUNITIES. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 1 | POSSIBILITIES INVESTS ITS RESOURCES IN LOCAL PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING COMMUNITY BASED LEADERS THROUGH OUR CORE INSIDE OUT PROGRAM (FORMERLY PIP) AND PHILOSOPHY. SEE LIST BELOW - LONG-LASTING RELATIONSHIPS: 76% OF ALUMNI SURVEYED STILL HAVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH PEOPLE THEY MET THROUGH POSSIBILITIES - CONTINUED ENGAGEMENT: 68% OF ALUMNI SURVEYED ARE CURRENTLY STILL ENGAGED IN COMMUNITY WORK - INCREASED ENGAGEMENT: 65% OF SURVEYED ALUMNI STATED THAT POSSIBILITIES INSIDE OUT/PIP PROGRAM HELPED THEM FEEL INCREASED ENGAGEMENT IN THE COMMUNITY ALUMNI EXAMPLES OF BEING ENGAGED IN COMMUNITY IN WAYS THEY WOULD NOT HAVE BEFORE INSIDE OUT: WORKING WITH LEAGUE OF |
