The executive committee shall report to the board whether it believes a conflict exists and if so, whether the best interests of lss are to proceed with the transaction or matter at issue. 3. At a regular meeting, the board shall make a final decision. The matter shall be documented in the minutes of the meeting.”

“During 2017, at least 26,480 seniors, adults with disabilities, and their families and caregivers turned to life senior services (lss) for information, education, and services to help them maintain their independence, qualify of life, and dignity. In addition, hundreds of aging, health, and social services professionals rely on lss for assistance with their older or disabled clients. Lss offers a wide variety of programs and services to meet the needs of seniors and caregivers, including: adult day services: lss offers nationally-accredited adult day services at three locations in tulsa and broken arrow. With the capacity to serve up to 90 individuals at each location, lss's centers offer a safe, friendly, daytime home for adults who are socially isolated, have a physical impairment, alzheimer's disease or other dementia, experience depression or other mental health disorder, or have a developmental disability, as well as support and services for their families and caregivers. Lss's three adult day centers are the only centers in oklahoma accredited by carf (the commission on accreditation of rehabilitation facilities). Case management services: living in one's home for as long as possible is what most seniors want. That's what lss's medicaid advantage program and independent case management services is all about - helping people remain independent. By matching a senior's needs with in-home and community-based resources, case managers help fill the gaps that threaten an individual's independence and safety. With the right supports in place, seniors can remain independent, safe, and surrounded by the comforts of home. Caregiver support services: lss offers support and services essential for successful care giving. Personal resource counseling, information and referral, classes, support groups, and three resource centers help lighten the load of caregivers of all ages. Seniorline information, independent case management and behavioral health services: finding answers can be difficult, frustrating, and time- consuming. But one call to lss's seniorline brings convenient access to hundreds of services through dozens of organizations. Seniorline provides information and referral to local, state, and national programs and services, helping seniors and the families solve all kinds of problems, large and small. Community education: with the right information at the right time, seniors and their families can more easily make important decisions about aging and care giving issues. Lss offers a variety of community education programs and an active speaker bureau to help older adults and their families learn more about issues, services, resources, and opportunities. Senior centers: lss's two senior centers offer just the right combination of social, creative, educational, physical fitness, and health activities to keep seniors involved, healthy, informed, and connected. Publications: lss's award-winning publications include "the vintage newsmagazine" - published monthly with 82,000 readers, and "the vintage guide to housing and services" - oklahoma's most comprehensive guide to senior resources with 25,000 copies distributed annually. Vintage publications has won national and state media awards. Medicare assistance program: the medicare assitance program offers information, education, and personal one-on-one enrollment assistance to medicare beneficiaries in 21 counties in northeastern oklahoma, sponsored by the oklahoma insurance department. Volunteers: volunteers assist lss and those we serve in a multitude of ways - as members of lss's board of directors, advisory, and fundraising committees; holiday santas; drivers and friendly visitors, etc. Tax assistance program: the tax counseling for the elderly (tce) program offers free tax preparation assistance annually from february 2 through april 14, by trained irs-certified volunteers, available to help seniors age 60 and older, making 54,000 or less annually, with free, basic income tax pr”
