Wellness city is a program model where all individuals served are"citizens in recovery." this model offers a structure for voice,participation and shared decision-making that provides anopportunity for each citizen to lead their recovery partnership.wellness city provides a holistic response to the needs andpreferences of each citizen. As the "city" is built and develops,recovery opportunities are provided in the dimensions of wellness,including; physical, emotional, intellectual/education,occupational, social and spiritual. Wellness city hall meetings,recovery activities and peer support transforms traditional"outpatient" services by creating community and connection.

Activity 3

Recovery education programs provide a range of creative classesand activities that promote wellness and recovery. Wellnessaction recovery plan (wrap), wellness and empowerment of life andliving (well), medication for success, home is where the heart isand employment as a path to recovery are core classes offered. Inaddition, there are elective classes offered in health andrecreation, creative arts and nutrition. Individuals can choose classes and programs they want to help empower them to attain their personal wellness goals. Educational opportunities are developed and enhanced based on feedback received from those receiving support. Peer support programming offers a unique and powerful opportunity to engage with individuals that share lived experience. One to one opportunities, as well as groups, create recovery experiences that empower individuals to move further in their recovery journey.
