THE PLAYGROUND SERVES THE WINTERS COMMUNITY OF 7,000 INHABITANTS AS WELL AS SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES IN WESTERN YOLO COUNTY. PROJECT PLAYGROUND INSTALLED A TWISTY SLIDE AND A ZIP LINE TO COMPLETE THE INITIAL PLAYGROUND PROJECT AND PLANS TO CONTINUE TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY BY TAKING ON NEW RECREATION PROJECTS, SUCH AS REVAMPING OTHER PLAYGROUNDS IN WINTERS.$51,002-
WE PRODUCE LARGE MURALS EACH SUMMER WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF A PROFESSIONAL MURALIST AND A CLASS OF MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. IN 2018 WE PUT A LARGE (150' X 20') MURAL ON THE SIDE OF A POPULAR LOCAL GROCERY MARKET. THE MURAL TOOK SIX WEEKS AND WAS DEDICATED A MONTH LATER. 15 STUDENTS AND TEACHERS WERE INVOLVED IN THE PROJECT.$9,103-
