Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6

“There shall be two classes of membership, active and honorary. Active members shall each be entitled to one vote, and shall pay dues or make identifiable contributions in accordance with the membership schedule established by the board of directors. The membership schedule may set progressive levels of giving, with differing membership benefits at each level, and shall fix the date on which membership dues/contributions are due. Notice of the membership schedule shall be mailed to the membership, and any member failing to pay dues/contributions currently due within sixty (60) days of such mailing shall not be entitled to vote, hold office, or receive any other benefit of membership until payment is made. Honorary membership may be conferred by the board of directors in recognition of valuable contributions to the purposes of brec foundation. Honorary members shall not be entitled to hold office or to vote, and shall be exempt from assessment of dues.”
