Mission

Our mission is to energize and facilitate individuals and groups to fully participate in matters that affect their lives by cultivating collaborative conversations that prompt visioning and actions so as to fulfill their shared vision of the community as a more wonderful place. We do this work by: 1. Serving as a conduit for funding from a donor to a particular project that otherwise has no legal entity or structure to receiving the funding;2. Offering skillful processes and experienced coaching; and3. Nurturing thoughtful, rational and inspiring conversations through our facilitative services.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The center qualifies as a nonprofit corporation exempt from income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, and wisconsin franchise or income tax. The center has adopted accounting guidance for recognizing and measuring uncertain tax positions. The center follows the statutory requirements for their income tax accounting and generally avoid risks associated with potentially problematic tax positions that may be challenged upon examination. Management believes any liability resulting from taxing authorities imposing additional income taxes from activities deemed to be unrelated to the center's tax-exempt status would not have a material effect on the accompanying financial statements. The center's federal exempt organization tax returns are subject to examination by the internal revenue service, generally for three years after they are filed. With few exceptions, the center is no longer subject to such examinations for years before 2016.
