“-ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE - The mission and specific purpose of the Law Enforcement Managers' Association is to better the working conditions of its members by improving service to the public, promoting a positive law enforcement image to the public, and by promoting the individual and mutual interestd of the Sacramneto County Sherriff's Department and this organization by and through all means within its scope of operation. In addition, this Corporation is organized and operated exclusively for labor representation purposes for Law Enforcement Managers' Association members.”

“To provide representation for the membership in matters related to conditions of their employment, including but limited to employee grievances, wages, hours, working conditions programs designed to improve the general welfare of the members. The organization will be recognized as a collective bargaining unit under California government code 3500 et seq. In this capacity the officers of the association, or their delegates, will work with and negotiate with, representatives of the employer, the County of Sacramento, in both the development and implementation of a memorandum of understanding (hereafter the MOU). This is a contractual agreement affecting employment conditions as described above. The activity will be conducted on a regular and ongoing basis, both in the context of renewal of terms of the MOU and interpretation of the MOU when conflicts arise.”
