Members of the organization (pta) consist of the students' parents and administrators of gregory gardens elementary school.

A slate of proposed officers is compiled. The list is then voted on by all participating members of the gregory gardens elementary school pta.

In general, during a school year, the organzation (pta) conducts meetngs once a month. Durng each meeting, various school issues are being addressed and proposed solutions are beng discussed. Then, participating members vote to decide which actions should be taken for addressng a certan issue. The elected officers and the assigned volunteers carry out the act of votng.

Annual federal and state tax returns (including form 990/990ez and ca form 199) are prepared by an independent tax preparer. Each prepared annual tax return is then reviewed by the organizations members of the board. The organizations treasurer, upon the boards approval, signs and dates the e-file authorization forms and the tax returns are then electronically submtted to the department of the treasury and ca franchse tax board.

Members of the board of directors review all potential conflicts of interest at least annually. All personnel and board members are required to disclose (in writing) potential conficts and any relaed party affiliations. Loans between the organization and its members of the managment and the members of the board are stirctly prohibited. The organization seeks full transparency related to any such relationships. Any potential conflicts (in fact or appearance) are discussed openly and resolved in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures, and in accordance with applicable rules set out by california parent teacher association.
