Mission

Northstar race team inc. Subsidizes coaching and travel expenses, equipment, lodging, dues and memberships for the northstar ski team which provides opportunities and training for athletes ages 4 to adult. Athletes are trained by certified instructors and compete in races hosted by the northstar race team and at other ski areas.

IRS990/Desc0In 2020, the Northstar Team Foundation funded the completion of capital improvements on the primary training and race venue for the Northstar Ski Team (Surprise Project). The primary scope of the improvements included the installation of snow making equipment on the training area including utility extensions. The Surprise Project will help lengthen the window of availability of the venue and increase training opportunities for the athletes during early season and low snow years. The physical construction was managed by Vail Resorts (Mountain Operator) and paid for by the NTF through donations from families and sponsors.
