“In 2016, susa expanded its website to further encourage an understanding about the benefits of mass patriotic singing during these challenging times and to support singing events wherever they are taking place. We continued to work on the script meant for churches, stadiums and large auditoriums. Due to the founder's need for healing through much of the year, we did not actively seek investors. Gratefully, the permissions provided by ascap and the mormon tabernacle choir to use specific recordings for the program remain. We reached out to the american education foundation to support their efforts to encourage mass singing of the national anthem, with emphasis on our youth and also invited them to join with us in our pursuit of a national tour. The deep divisions of our citizenry are pushing classic expressions of nationalism and patriotism into a conservative corner now, which challenges susa's purpose even further. However, we know that our patriotic music can overcome the human barriers that divide us, as so often only music can do. Our nation has yet to know the tremendous positive effects of joining our energy together in a harmonious way for the good of all.”
