IRS990/Description0During the past year, MCIDTF continued to expand its work focusing on building community resiliency. The Organization completed a project funded by BP through the Department of Mental Health that provided a range of counseling services in collaboration with Boat People SOS, Coastal Family Health Centers, and Memorial Hospital Behavioral Health for Kids. The Organization continued to strengthen their partnerships with provider organizations and faith based communities. As a result the Organization offered Adolescent Suicide Prevention Workshops for faith-based communities, community organizations and youth groups. The work in Disaster Preparedness continues to grow with the expansion of our network of Congregation Disaster Coordinators. The Organization hosted their sixth Community Wellness Conference which offered over 30 workshops and featured nationally known plenary speakers. Promoting and education around physical and emotional wellness are central pillars of work for the Organization. Trainings were offered in Cultural Competency helping professionals to be better equipped to respond to the needs of racial/ethnic coastal residents. The Organization continued to resource faith-based communities around emotional/spiritual wellness concerns.

Due to the short turn-around in preparing the Form 990 for 2012 this review as not performed this year. In subsequent years the orgaization will return to this practice.

Any conflict of interest that arises during the year is discussed and resolved by the Executive Director and/or the Board of Directors. Conflicts are disclosed and recorded in the official board minutes.
IRS990ScheduleO/GeneralExplanation/Explanation2The Board of Directors determines compensation and uses the survey analysis provided by the MS Center for Nonprofits. Compensation is set within the perameters based on experience, education, training and other similar sized Organizations.

IRS990ScheduleO/GeneralExplanation/Explanation4The auditor meets with the Board of Directors making a full presentation at the completion of teh audit for the year answering any of the Board's questions. The auditor works closely with the Board of Directors during the year should any concerns arise. The audit for 2012 was not completed at the time of the filing of the Form 990. In subsequent years the audit/review/compilation will be complete prior to the filing of Form 990.
