Educational services - cares school jackson(served 49), hattiesburg day school(served 28), cares school gulfport(served 5)and behavioral vital signs(served 1908), - the cares school and school day program provide special education and regular educationservices to children and youth with serious emotional, behavioral and drug dependency problems. Behavioral vital sings is a new statewide initiative providing eduacators and mental health professional with a snapshot ofthe emotional well-being of students in schools across the state.

Activity 3

Ark residential program is a specialized treatment program for chemically dependent youth ages 13-18 in mississippi. The goal is to facilitate the return of the youth to a productive live where they are physically, mentally, and emotionally prepared to live drug-free. (individuals served 50) ark theraputic group home serves youth 13-18 that cannot remain in their own homes because of serious abuse and neglect and emotional or behavioral problems. The program offers family-style living in a community-based, open setting utilizing a behavioral approach and offering counseling, recreation and educational services. Individuals served outpatient, transitional outreach program, and aftercare and follow-up programs - (individuals served 151)
