ALSO, SAINT THOMAS MIDTOWN HOSPITAL PROVIDES A SUBSTANTIAL PORTION OF ITS SERVICES TO THE ELDERLY AND POOR. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2017, 41.4% OF THE VALUE OF SERVICES RENDERED WAS TO ELDERLY PATIENTS UNDER THE MEDICARE PROGRAM, AND APPROXIMATELY 19.2% OF THE VALUE OF THE SERVICES WAS PROVIDED TO PATIENTS WHO WERE DEEMED INDIGENT UNDER STATE, COUNTY, OR SAINT THOMAS MIDTOWN HOSPITAL GUIDELINES.
