“The memphis restaurant association (mra) is the premiere support organization dedicated to the sucess of our industry and community now and into the future. We provide useful, accessible tools, educational services and governmental representation to promote the stability and growth of our members. The mra is dedicated to building community relationships and involvement in order to increase membership and create a spirit of fellowship amoung its members.”

“In 2024, our board met for eight in-person meetings, held in january, march, april, june, august, october, and november. Additionally, we transitioned from traditional in-person general membership meetings to offering frequent educational speakers via facebook live. We hosted virtual webinars on facebook live in may, june, july, august, september, november, and december. In september, we held an all-day virtual summit featuring eight speakers, which was a resounding success.”

“Our annual february celebration, held in february 2024, drew over 400 attendees. This event recognized two members of our association who have made significant contributions to both the industry and their community, and for the first time, we honored an additional award winner. In october, our annual golf tournament sold out with 144 golfers and numerous sponsors participating. Throughout the year, our communication with members remained consistent and focused on health department policies, best practices, webinars, financial support, changing restaurant regulations, and more. We also held four in- person breakfast meetings for our vendor members in february, may, august, and november.”
