The executive director's salary is determined by our board of directors. They contracted with a 3rd party company for a compensation study for all leadership positions in 2021. Once the study was completed, the board voted for a salary adjustment for the executive director position. Salaries for other leadership positions are determined by the executive director in consultation with the hr director. Following the 2021 study, salaries for leadership roles were adjusted accordingly. Salaries continue to be reviewed annually.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code ("irc") and is classified as an organization that is not a private foundation as defined in section 509(a) of the irc. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been made in the accompanying financial statements. Additionally, the organization did not receive any unrelated business income during the year ended june 30, 2025, which would be subject to federal taxes. In accordance with applicable guidance, the organization will recognize a tax benefit only if it is more-likely-than not the tax position would be sustained in a tax examination, with a tax examination being presumed to occur. The amount recognized will be the largest amount of tax benefit that is greater than 50% likely of being realized on examination. For tax positions not meeting the more-likely-than-not test, no tax benefit will be recorded. As of june 30, 2025, management is not aware of any uncertain tax positions. The organization does not expect the total amount of unrecognized tax benefits to significantly change in the next 12 months. The organization did not recognize or accrue any interest or penalties related to uncertain tax positions as of june 30, 2025 nor for the year then ended.

IN ADDITION TO DIRECT SUPPORT OF CHILDREN AND THEIR CAREGIVERS, THE INTERVENTIONIST PROVIDES CONSULTATION AND TRAINING FOR CHILDCARE PROVIDERS. IN THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025, 526 FAMILIES RECEIVED SERVICES.

SERVICES IN THIS PROGRAM ARE FACILITY AND/OR COMMUNITY-BASED. INTENDED OUTCOMES INCLUDE INCREASED COMPETENCY IN DAILY LIVING SKILLS AND CONNECTING INDIVIDUALS WITH THEIR COMMUNITY. ADULT DAY SERVICES ARE CURRENTLY PROVIDED IN THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY COMMUNITY. WE OPERATE TWO ADULT DAY CENTERS IN FRANKLIN AND FAIRVIEW, WHERE THESE SERVICES CAN BE PROVIDED IN ADDITION TO COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES. 36 ADULTS ARE CURRENTLY BEING SUPPORTED IN THIS PROGRAM. INDIVIDUALS IN THIS PROGRAM ARE ALSO ENCOURAGED TO SEEK EMPLOYMENT WITH STAFF SUPPORT PROVIDED FOR ALL STAGES OF THEIR EMPLOYMENT JOURNEY. VOLUNTEERING IN THE COMMUNITY IS ALSO ENCOURAGED TO LEARN SKILLS AND BUILD SELF-ESTEEM. EXAMPLES OF VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES INCLUDE PACKAGING AND DELIVERING LUNCHES FOR MEALS ON WHEELS, CLEANING TRAILS AT EDWIN WARNER PARK, ASSISTING WITH FOOD AND CLOTHES SORTING AT THRIFT STORES, AND ASSISTING WITH MAILINGS OR FILINGS FOR NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. WAVES ALSO OPERATES FOUR HOMES WITHIN WILLIAMSON COUNTY WITH 24/7 STAFF SUPPORT. THESE HOMES PROVIDE RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT FOR 13 INDIVIDUALS. WE ALSO OFFER A SEMI-INDEPENDENT LIVING OPTION. THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE HIGHER LEVELS OF INDEPENDENCE AND NEED LESS ASSISTANCE WITH DAILY TASKS. WE CURRENTLY SUPPORT ONE INDIVIDUAL IN THIS PROGRAM.
