During the return preparation process, the tax department works with other functional areas which may include, as needed, finance, accounting, treasury, legal, human resources, and corporate compliance for advice, information and assistance in order to prepare a complete and accurate return. During fiscal year 2020, Saint Thomas West Hospital treated 17,203 adults and children for a total of 94,140 patient days of service. The hospital also provided services for 93,218 outpatient visits, which included 3,432 outpatient surgeries and 32,513 Emergency Room Visits.
