Peletah Mission Statement is to transform lives, strengthen families, and intentionally impact communities through Jesus Christ. We did this in 2015 by providing food distributions to poor communities and providing children literacy programs in underserved communities. We hosted a racial reconciliation conference to bring races together in peaceful communication exchanges. We also hosted health programs that helped those that had health challenges to become healthier through education programs and distributing healthy foods. We also focused our food outreach to senior citizens that were in need of food and were unable to afford groceries.

| ood Distribution is one of our largest programs at Peletah. We served nearly 8,000 people during this year. These weekly distributions allowed for those that had no food or little food to access groceries at no cost. During school vacation, food was provided for children and summer feeding programs were utilized to make sure that children and their families could have meals during the summer months. We partnered with the local housing authority to better serve families living in those communities with food outreach. Through this partnership we provided a special healthy food distribution within the housing communities. We were also able to make this mobile through funding. This allowed us to go directly into the poorest communities throughout our region and provide food directly to those in the greatest of need. | $0 | $25,000 |
| Peletah's Joseph Community Farmers Market was able to serve some of the poorest areas in our region. Some areas have a median income of less than $8,700 a year. These monthly summer markets afforded low income individuals to come to the market and purchase low cost produce that was beneficial for their families. Also, child activities were provided through literacy outreach during the market. Our local hospital donated funding for double bucks and vouchers for those that could not afford to purchase food at the market. | $0 | $15,000 |
| Peletah hosted a Racial Reconciliation 3 day conference that included speakers, workshops, and outreach. There was a special peace service that allowed people from various communities to come together. Their were talking councils for communication building. There were action plans that were developed and programs created to continue the work of building coalitions. There were 7 sessions that were presented and more than 500 people attended over the 3 day conference. | $0 | $12,500 |
| Peletah's environmental literacy camp and gardening program taught children how to see the importance of caring for the earth as it relates to the food ecosystem. The camp was provided at no cost to working parents who would not have been able to afford child care for their child (ren). Children also completed service projects such as yard clean ups, making a composting pit, and helping to distribute food to those in need. Children received packets with new books for their personal libraries. They also received handouts on the material covered and completed art projects that were created during the camp. We served 25 students during the camp. | $0 | $3,750 |
