During 2019, 165 volunteers were mobilized to vietnam, directly impacting 6,680 people. The fourth masters of nursing program was conducted at nam dinh nursing university, where us university nursing faculty taught courses to a class of 60 masters students. 18 water buffalo were donated to needy farmers. 2 sets of exercise playground equipment and study corners were installed at 2 rural schools. One new performance stage with sound system, 1 water well and 1 solar water heating system were built at a school in sapa benefiting 1850 students. 1120 teachers, doctors and nurses received training at 4 education and medical conferences. Nutritional programs supplemented meals for 720 students in the lao cai province. 100 water filtration systems were installed in rural schools impacting hundreds of students. 360 formula milk boxes were donated to orphan babies at ss3 orphanage. In 2019, 750 people in rural communities received physical checkups by gvi medical volunteers. 245 students and orphan children went on a 3-day vacation to the beach where they were able to have a new experience and 15 high school students were provided scholarships to help them transition to a new future.”
