FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

The pride initiative promotes personal responsibility in a desirable environment in 42 counties in southern and eastern kentucky. It links citizens with the resources of local, state, and federal agencies to improve the region's water quality, clean up solid waste problems, and advance environmental education.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4D

Tourism - educate, expand, develop, and market the existing and potential tourism industry throughout southern and eastern kentucky, while contributing to the economic, cultural, growth, health and awareness, and overall quality of life of the region. Homeowner septic system - program provides septic systems for failing septic systems or straight pipes to low-income homeowners in established homes in the 42 counties served by pride.

Financial Statement Notes

Schedule D, Page 3, Part X

Accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america require management to evaluate tax positions taken by pride and recognize a tax liability if pride has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by various federal and state taxing authorities. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by pride, and has concluded that as of june 30, 2016, there are no uncertain positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability or disclosure in the accompanying financial statements. Pride is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress.

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES GENERALLY ACCEPTED IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA REQUIRE MANAGEMENT TO EVALUATE TAX POSITIONS TAKEN BY PRIDE AND RECOGNIZE A TAX LIABILITY IF PRIDE HAS TAKEN AN UNCERTAIN POSITION THAT MORE LIKELY THAN NOT WOULD NOT BE SUSTAINED UPON EXAMINATION BY VARIOUS FEDERAL AND STATE TAXING AUTHORITIES.
