“Interfaith paths to peace has been bringing diverse populations together to cultivate deeper understanding and creative collaboration for over 25 years. We organize our work in three primary areas - networking for collaborative change, events for peacemaking and community building, education for personal development. Networking - ipp's beloved community network is designed to help transform louisville into a city where everyone thrives through creatively and collaboratively addressing root causes of complex social problems. Utilizing social impact constellations, we bring together diverse stakeholders - faith communities, non-profit organizations, compassionate companies, government offices, awake citizens and social innovators to make vital connections, cultivate collective wisdom and take collaborative action around areas of mutual interest and shared passion. We have cultivated four social impact constellations that centered the voices and initiatives of black and marginalized communities to address houselessness, violence prevention, youth and young adults, and the food justice system. Working with the louisville metro health department with hosting a vaccination initiative and clinic to encourage vaccinations among diverse religious communities. The beloved community network will continue to cultivate and launch social impact constellations addressing our world's most complex challenges. Events - ipp is a regional expert in bringing together diverse groups to make meaningful connections. Our annual events include world day of peace, interfaith iftar dinner, peace concert, interfaith community thanksgiving dinner, bobby ellis vigil to end hunger, peace lantern ceremony honoring victims of violence, and our annual recipe for peace where we honor six community peace and justice makers, and peace postcards program. In addition to these events, ipp, in collaboration with other organizations, hosted five community vigils and developed the louisville prays initiative - interfaith vigil for covid 19 crisis, walking prayer vigil for racial justice and renewal, interfaith prayer vigil for breonna taylor, vigil in support of our asian american community, and vigil for peace in the middle east. Education - in response to the pandemic, ipp developed a dynamic online educational program hosting over 983 online programs involving 6,583 participants resulting in over 30,000 program views. Programs included daily interfaith devotionals, training in peace and justice making, interfaith education, panels addressing current issues, and organizing for social change. Ipp is launching a community chaplaincy certification program to train spiritual grounded individuals with the personal and professional skills needed to offer holistic care and community healing. We will also launch a new year-long initiative, cultivating a soul-centric city that will develop a city-wide curriculum for personal growth from cradle to grave.”
