“Morgan's legacy gift program - launched in late 2007, morgan's legacy gift, previously known as our quality-of-life enhancement program, offers families that meet our minimum criteria the opportunity to apply for the "tools" that make their job of caring for their child easier and enhance quality of life for the child and family at the same time. These "tools" are for things that are not considered medically necessary by insurance and medicaid, but that can make a huge impact on the parent's ability to be the safest caregiver and best advocate for their child that they can be. The primary goal of morgan's legacy gift is to enhance the quality of life for families caring for a child with disabilities”
“Traditions of childhood program - launched in 2012, ourtraditions of childhood series provides opportunities for children with disabilities, their families, and their caregivers to enjoy traditional childhood experiences in a sensory friendly environment. Each event celebrates a tradition of childhood that we all grew up with, and that are difficult for a child with disabilities to enjoy in a world that is not able to accommodate their specific challenges, especially for those with mobility and sensory impairments. Children with sensory processing disorders and other disabilities often miss out on these important childhood experiences, like pictures with santa or an easter egg hunt, because community events are often inaccessible. Our newly reimagined series utilizes partners in the community, that provide a venue for our events for members of the community that meet our target group. Each traditions of childhood event is designed to be sensory friendly, fun, and tailored to entertain the whole family.”
