Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The Organization consists of two divisions. The Nathaniel's Hope division focuses on assisting children with special needs and their families. The Teams Commissioned for Christ International (TCCI) division is dedicated to equipping and sending short-term mission teams into developing countries around the world. The TCCI field missionaries serve as a bridge to connect teams with the needs of the national host country.

Major Activities

Activity 2
TCCI is a sending missions organization whose mission is "to share the love of God with those who know Him not and with those who want to know Him more." TCCI educates and equips individuals to serve on short term mission teams. TCCI serves as a bridge between the local church and the national host country. Short term mission teams serve on medical, construction, children's ministry, training and education, evangelism, and feeding teams that assist in benevolent care of the people. Our missionaries provide leadership training and education to help nationals start new churches. Last year, TCCI sent out nearly 200 short term missionary volunteers to serve on mission teams to assist the poor and indigenous people, often in remote areas of Guatemala and El Salvador.

IRS990/Description0Nathaniel's Hope shares hope and encouragement to children with special needs (VIP kids) and their families. We educate and equip the general population to practically assist the special needs community. All of our programs and services are provided free to VIP children and their families. We currently serve over 7,800 VIP children. We have developed four major programs and utilize thousands of volunteers to accomplish our mission cost effectively. The primary programs of Nathaniel's Hope include: (1) Buddy Break Free Parent's Day Out / Respite Care program for VIP families: We have trained over 90 churches from 18 states in our growing network of partnering churches offering our program. Currently, we have 60 Buddy Breaks operating in 13 states with more than 30 additional locations trained and on the path to launching. The program serves over 2,500 children and their siblings each month with a much needed break. This represents a 126 percent increase over our prior year. (2) VIP Birthday Club: VIP children of all ages can become national club members and are initially sent a "Bearing Hope" teddy bear, then a birthday card and special surprises on their birthday, a card at Christmas, and other special recognition throughout the year. Children can also have their photograph posted online. We currently host over 7,800 VIP children from 51 states and territories and 8 countries. We have increased the number of VIP children we serve by 42 percent over our prior year. (3) Caroling for Kids: We share hope and encouragement with patients, families and caregivers at children's hospitals and with homebound VIP families on Christmas Day through caroling, prayer, and bearing goodies and gifts. This past Christmas, approximately 550 joined us to form 14 caroling teams going into local hospitals, as well as visiting 100 homebound VIP families on Christmas Day. A partnership with 130 Walgreens allowed us to provide toys for over 3,250 VIP children in need this year. (4) Make 'm Smile: This year at our 11th annual event, we hosted over 20,000 people including over 2,200 VIPs.Make 'm Smile is a community festival that celebrates children with special needs. In addition to being a one of a kind disability-friendly fun festival that enables all to participate, over 90 resource exhibitors who serve the special needs community are in attendance educating our families to learn about much needed resources that might enhance the lives of their VIP children.
