“The mission of the indian river dog training club is to promote good will and responsible dog ownership by offering training classes and disseminating knowledge regarding the training of dogs. In addition to promoting the sport of dogs by holding trials, tests, exhibitions, and matches under the rules and regulations of the american kennel club, we also are here to have fun with our dogs and fellow club members.”

“During the year, we hold six obedience/rally trials, (usually the last weekend in february and the first weekend in august at the melbourne auditorium, melbourne, fl) and nine agility trials, (usually in february, may, and november at the indian river fairgrounds, vero beach, fl). We host various seminars, offer the canine good citizen (cgc) test, and participate in the akc star puppy program. In the near future we will be offering the canine good citizen advanced (cgca) test. We offer several types of classes, including basic obedience, rally, teacup agility (for dogs 17- and under at the shoulder), and puppy classes.”
