Mission

The epilepsy foundation of florida (efof) leads the fight to stop seizures, find a cure and overcome challenges created by epilepsy.

See schedule othe epilepsy foundation of florida (efof) provided improved epilepsy services at a cost effective 92% of expenditures going directly to program costs. Efof impacted 4,946 individuals with its case management, support group and transportation services. 2,727 diagnostic tests were underwritten by the organization. 350 psychological sessions were provided to clients. 4.5m people were educated through presentations, special events, awareness activities and online and social media platforms. 9,439 service calls from patients were received. 95 camp scholarships were provided to children and families with epilepsy. Efof continues to be dedicated to provide education at health fairs and other awareness events including presentations, educational meetings, support groups, presence at community health fairs and similar activities.

The by-laws were amended since the last 990 was filed. Proposed amendments to amended and restated by-laws of epilepsy foundation of florida, inc., dated june 25, 2010 the governance committee hereby proposes the following amendments to the bylaws: amendment 1: an amendment to article iv, section 1, to clarify the permitted number of directors current language: section 1. Number. The corporation shall have a minimum of twelve (12) voting directors and a maximum of thirty-one (31). The number of directors of the corporation shall be fixed from time to time, within the limits set forth above and within any limits set forth in the articles of incorporation, by resolution of the board of directors. Any decrease in the number of directors shall not shorten the term of an incumbent director. Proposed amendment: section 1. Number. The corporation shall have a minimum of twelve (12) voting directors and a maximum of thirty-one (31) voting directors. The corporation shall have no minimum or maximum number of non-voting directors.
