To assist in avoiding any real or perceived conflict of interest, each volunteer (board member, officer, and chairs of committees,) shall sign the statement of disclosure of conflict of interest at the time of election, appointment, or change of position and annually. Furthermore, notification must be made to the association within thirty (30) days of a change in circumstances leading to a potential conflict during his/her tenure. If a perceived conflict is identified, it is the responsibility of the president to discuss the potential ramifications with the individual volunteer. Failure to disclose a real or perceived conflict of interest shall be considered conduct unbecoming of a member of the board of directors, committee, or task force, and will be addressed via the disciplinary policies and procedures of the association.”
