Part XII Line 2C

Audit Report Review Process: The audit report is reviewed annually at the audit report review meeting as presented by the independent auditor. The process has not changed from the prior year.

Financial Statement Notes

Part V, Line 4:

From Boy Scouts of America-Major Gift Guide. Endowment gifts are gifts for the long-term financial support of the council. Gifts can be used to build and increase a council's endowment fund in order to provide immediate, operating fund support, generate funds gifts during a capital campaign, building facilities to support Scouting programs - and everything in between.

Part X, Line 2:

The Council follows FASB ASC 740-10, Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes. This pronouncement seeks to reduce the diversity in practice associated with certain aspects of measurement and recognition in accounting for income taxes. It prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for financial statement recognition and measurement of a tax position that an entity takes or expects to take in a tax return. An entity may only recognize or continue to recognize tax positions that meet a "more likely than not" threshold. The Council assesses its income tax positions based on management's evaluation of the facts, circumstances and information available at the reporting date. The Council uses the prescribed "more likely than not" threshold when making its assessment. There are currently no open federal or state income tax years under audit.

The religious groups - not the Boy Scout of America - have created the religious emblems programs themselves.SCOUTING FOR FOOD - On the first Saturday of November, door hangers are distributed in neighborhoods throughout our seven counties, alerting the residents that Scouts will return the following Saturday to pickup non-perishable food left outside. When collected on the second Saturday, the food is brought to District collection sites and transported to pre-arranged local food banks.
