“Statement 1part iii - primary exempt purpose:keep smyrna beautiful, a part of the keep america beautiful program, provides public education and volunteer engagement. Ksb spurs action in the city of smyrna with the goals of reducing litter, promoting recycling, waste reduction, beautification, and overall improvement of the environment and quality of life. The mission statement is to bring together the resources of government, businesses, and residents to protect and improve the environment and quality of life in our community. Statement 2 - part iii - line 28, exempt purpose achievements:we reduced litter in the city through litter cleanups conducted by volunteers in our adopt-a-mile and community cleanup programs. We reduced waste through the bring one for the chipper holiday recycling program, which collects trees for mulch, and document shredding event. We provided tree seedlings to residents through our adopt-a-tree program, promoted waterway health through marking storm drains and monitoring local streams. We promoted good recycling practices through our marketing collateral and social media as well as promoted a new recycling program in smyrna to divert more plastic from the landfill.”
