“Flagship program to ensure a healthy pipeline of community leadership within our region, our flagship program features a series of sector-focused days that provide insights into how communities function. We partner with city, state and regional representatives, and public and private sector businesses in order to provide our learners with first-hand knowledge of community opportunities and challenges. Our adult class members are comprised of leaders across all sectors, industries, and age groups in order to foster more understanding and collaboration within the cohort. Upon completion of the flagship program, we guide leaders to align their individual skills and passions to address community needs; whether serving on non-profit boards, taking on government roles or initiating a culture of volunteerism within their own organizations and/or families.”
“Youth leadership sandy springs (ylss) was launched by leadership perimeter in 2011 and provides high school sophomores, juniors and seniors with experiential learning opportunities to help develop their leadership skills and learn more about their community. Students discover what it takes to build a thriving community by speaking with business, human services and civic leaders, as well as learn leadership skills to help them reach their full potential. In this 7-month program, students explore sandy springs through six interactive program days and develop leadership skills during three afternoon workshops.
