Board members must avoid conflicts of interests of Our Kids, Inc. or with the interests of any client. Conflicts of Interest include but are not limited to: a personal financial interest; inability to fulfill board duties; personal considerations that may conflict with Our Kids, Inc. mission or values; etc. A Board member that experiences a conflict of interest will be excused from his/her commitment to Board service. If the conflict is resolved, the individual may request to be reconsidered as a member by the Board President or the Executive Director.”

“During calendar year 2016, the Executive Director was an employee of Nashville General Hospital. She is evaluated annually, and Nashville General Hospital's HR Department governs the process. She is also evaluated by the Our Kids Board of Directors. Our Kids employees are evaluated annually by Nashville General Hospital HR Department and goverened by their evaluation policies. OUR KIDS, INC. REIMBURSES Nashville General Hospital, an UNRELATED ORGANIZATION, FOR PERSONNEL COSTS (WAGES, PAYROLL TAXES AND BENEFITS) INCLUDING OFFICER COMPENSATION. WHILE OUR KIDS, INC. DOES NOT ISSUE W-2'S, THE 990 REFLECTS THE ACTUAL EXPENSE PAID TO REIMBURSE THE UNRELATED ORGANIZATION FOR ALL EMPLOYEES.”
