A copy of the policy is given to all board members, staff members, volunteers or other stakeholders upon the commencement of such person's relationship with the organization or at the official adoption of the stated policy. Each board member, staff member, volunteer or other stakeholder shall sign and date the policy at the beginning of his/her term of service or employment and each year thereafter.

The organization's president is employed under the terms of an employment contract. In determining the president's beginning compensation as set forth in the contract, the board used a salary survey prepared by the international economic development council (iedc), making adjustments for the size of the organization, the number of staff members, the scope of the organization's activities and the president's experience. Future salary increases will be based on market factors and job performance.
