Organization's mission: connecting disciplines of construction to benefit the industry, the economy and employment in georgia. Organization's vision: to become the most inclusive develop/design/build alliance in georgia.

Education and training - leading the way in education and training - it has been abc of georgia's goal to provide the most timely, comprehensive, and broad-based education and training support for members by closely monitoring industry trends and economic forecasts. In 2020, due to covid-19 attendance was lower than normal in education and training classes. Even during this uncertain time, abc of georgia continued its position in being a forward-thinking organization by anticipating and offereing courses to fulfill the needs of an essential workforce industry. Abc of georgia strengthened its reputation as a leading educator in the state's commercial construction industry. In 2020, a combined total of 27 in-person and virtual courses helped over 450 attendees become more productive for their companies. New leed courses: -leed exam prep classes new construction management courses: -construction academy

Building strong partnerships- networking events were significantly impacted by covid-19. In 2020, some events were cancelled while other events experienced lower than normal attendance. Even with the pandemic's ever changing safety protecols, abc was able to host several networking events, helping plant the seeds of potential business relationships. Ten (10) in-person and six (6) virtual town hall events were held in 2020 attracting nearly 2,800 attendees. - lunch and dinner meetings - member-sponsored open houses - business-after-hours - golf tournament - annual chili cook-off - two "meet & greet the general contrators" with over 600 attendees - recruitment luncheons and meetings providing prospects a clear, concise message on the benefits of joining abc of georgia

Recognizing safety and construction excellence- abc honored member companies this year at its annual safety awards celebration, including 69 step (safety training and evaluation process) awards and 31 georgia safety awards of excellence. Winners are noted for having achieved the lowest rate of on-the-job accidents in the state and demonstrating their commitment to safety. The excellence in construction awards competition is held biennially and highlights the innovation, quality and vision of a projects entire construction team-general and specialty contractors, architects, engineers, owners and others. IN 2020, DUE TO COVID-19 ATTENDANCE WAS LOWER THAN NORMAL IN EDUCATION AND TRAINING CLASSES. EVEN DURING THIS UNCERTAIN TIME, ABC OF GEORGIA CONTINUED ITS POSITION IN BEING A FORWARD-THINKING ORGANIZATION BY ANTICIPATING AND OFFEREING COURSES TO FULFILL THE NEEDS OF AN ESSENTIAL WORKFORCE INDUSTRY. ABC OF GEORGIA STRENGTHENED ITS REPUTATION AS A LEADING EDUCATOR IN THE STATE'S COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY. IN 2020, A COMBINED TOTAL OF 27 IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL COURSES HELPED OVER 450 ATTENDEES BECOME MORE PRODUCTIVE FOR THEIR COMPANIES. NEW LEED COURSES: -LEED EXAM PREP CLASSES NEW CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT COURSES: -CONSTRUCTION ACADEMY

IN 2020, SOME EVENTS WERE CANCELLED WHILE OTHER EVENTS EXPERIENCED LOWER THAN NORMAL ATTENDANCE. EVEN WITH THE PANDEMIC'S EVER CHANGING SAFETY PROTECOLS, ABC WAS ABLE TO HOST SEVERAL NETWORKING EVENTS, HELPING PLANT THE SEEDS OF POTENTIAL BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS. TEN (10) IN-PERSON AND SIX (6) VIRTUAL TOWN HALL EVENTS WERE HELD IN 2020 ATTRACTING NEARLY 2,800 ATTENDEES. - LUNCH AND DINNER MEETINGS - MEMBER-SPONSORED OPEN HOUSES - BUSINESS-AFTER-HOURS - GOLF TOURNAMENT - ANNUAL CHILI COOK-OFF - TWO "MEET & GREET THE GENERAL CONTRATORS" WITH OVER 600 ATTENDEES - RECRUITMENT LUNCHEONS AND MEETINGS PROVIDING PROSPECTS A CLEAR, CONCISE MESSAGE ON THE BENEFITS OF JOINING ABC OF GEORGIA

WINNERS ARE NOTED FOR HAVING ACHIEVED THE LOWEST RATE OF ON-THE-JOB ACCIDENTS IN THE STATE AND DEMONSTRATING THEIR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY.
