Learning matters, inc. Provides one-on-one tutoring, diagnostic assessment and psycho-educational assessment and advocacy to students from all socio-econonomic levels. Diagnostic assessment uses a personalized battery of tests to determine why a student is experiencing problems in school, while psycho-educational assessment involves a more comprehensive evaluation of a child's unique learning profile, including cognitive abilities, academic abilities and literacy skills. The majority of the work performed by learning matters, inc. Involves the one-on-one tutoring for at-risk students. Students who are being tutored work with highly qualified teachers or learning specialists for one-hour sessions from one to four times a week. Students are seen at their school, their home, libraries, and the learning matters, inc. Facility. The directors make themselves available to the families of all of the students that are served at learning matters.
