Major Activities

Activity 2

Town Square runs community, family events throughout the year. Our annual repertoire includes family Valentines Day parties, childrens Halloween parade and party, community festivals, Santa brunches, and school fairs. We also present childrens concerts in public and private spaces. These events are discrete and often, seasonal in nature. Each event draws 100 to 500 people, young and old. As with our other programs, these events are intended to strengthen community bonds and ties.

Activity 3

Town Square hosts an annual Earth day festival and runs a recycling/swap program. The festival includes schools, merchants, health professionals, artists- large and small. We invite everyone to come and share their art work, research, and thoughts as they relate to the environment. We try to offer this in a fun environment, with live music and interactive workshops. The recycling/swap offers opportunities for neighborhood residents to donate their gently used clothing, shoes, bedding, books, and toys. People can also take whatever they need so that the donated items can be re-circulated and reused back into our community. The festival and the recycling swaps attracted more than 500 participants. These programs are designed to educate and encourage our community members to live a more sustainable life.
