IT'S OUR AIR INVESTIGATES METEOROLOGY, AIR QUALITY CHEMISTRY, RELATED ISSUES, MONITORING, FORECASTING AND SOLUTIONS USING 27 CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES AND 23 ACCOMPANYING VIDEO SEGMENTS THAT STAR NC HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. THIS WORKSHOP OFFERS FREE MATERIALS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT RESOURCES INCLUDING VIDEOS FOR STUDENTS AND LESSON PLANS FOR FIELD ACTIVITIES IN A LOCAL STREAM THAT ALLOW TEACHERS AND STUDENTS TO FURTHER DELVE INTO WATER QUALITY AND QUANTITY ISSUES IN NORTH CAROLINA. 700 EARTH ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS ARE THE TARGETED AUDIENCE, 400 OF WHICH HAVE TAKEN THE WORKSHOPS OVER THE PAST FOUR YEARS REACHING MORE THAN 30,000 STUDENTS TO DATE.

IN 2011 THE INITIATIVE TO PLACE THE ENTIRE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ONLINE WAS COMPLETED. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDEING SUPPORT FOR LIVE IOW WORKSHOPS, THE EEF NOW OFFERS A COMPLETE ONLINE WORKSHOP FOR TEACHERS. THIS WORKSHOP OFFERS FREE MATERIALS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT RESOURCES INCLUDING VIDEOS FOR STUDENTS AND LESSON PLANS FOR FIELD ACTIVITIES IN A LOCAL STREAM THAT ALLOW TEACHERS AND STUDENTS TO FURTHER DELVE INTO WATER QUALITY AND QUANTITY ISSUES IN NORTH CAROLINA. 700 EARTH ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS ARE THE TARGETED AUDIENCE, 400 OF WHICH HAVE TAKEN THE WORKSHOPS OVER THE PAST FOUR YEARS REACHING MORE THAN 30,000 STUDENTS TO DATE.
