When the Form 990 is ready for review, it is circulated elelectronically to members of the board of SAJA Group, Inc. for any comments or edits. The board members are provided at least 3 days to review the Form 990 and its contents and offer any comments through electronic means or at a conference call. All comments are carefully considered by the board and any necessary edits are incorporated into the final version of the Form 990.”

“SAJA Group, Inc. has a conflict of interest policy in place. The policy is incorporated into the organizations bylaws. A whistleblowers policy and a document retention policy are also in place. These policy statements are circulated to all members of the board of directors of SAJA Group, Inc. Throughout the year, during conduct of the organizations activities, any situation which could pose a potential breach of any of these policies are pro actively addressed by the board to prevent breach and promote full compliance.”

“The five members of the governing body of SAJA Group, Inc. are designated by the board of directors of South Asian Journalists Association, Inc., a not-for-profit 501 c 6 organization. Except for such designation and amendments to by-laws, the decisions of the governing body of SAJA Group, Inc. are not subject to any approval by the South Asian Journalists Association.”
