Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Hickory cluster association is exempt from federal income taxes under internal revenue code section 501(c)(4) pertaining to civic organizations. As such, it is required to file an annual information return but no tax payment is required for 2023. The association's federal income tax return is generally subject to examination by taxing authorities for three years after the returns are filed, and the association's federal and state income tax returns for 2020, 2021 and 2022 remain open to examination.
