“To improve the quality of media by helping the nonprofit sector understand how journalists operate and what they need in order to increase their own success in getting information out to the public.”
“Increased opportunities to aid non-profits in disseminating their message through various media channels, which resulted in the publishing of 589 media stories through 17,810 media outlets nationwide and reaching an audience of over 249 million people, plus millions more via social media. Taxpayer accomplished their goal of receiving funding to help non-profits develop video competency to communicate their message and group's mission through videos on their websites and through social media sharing. Mpi trained 11 (eight new, three returning) organizations who have produced over 30 videos to support their communication goals. The organization also provided strategic communications training to approximately 20 non-profit organizations on how to bridge polarities and respectfully engage with people who have highly divergent beliefs and policies.”
