Additional Explanations

Schedule F, Part I, Line 3A

During the year ended june 30, 2020, christian educators outreach (ceo) provided funding and other support for the following missions in eastern europe. The funds distributed for the following are managed and distributed with the executive director's oversight. Croatia in zagreb, endeavors included supporting church leadership, outreach to young people through local church youth meetings, national camp and conference leadership, and a youth camping outreach ministry. In darda, outreach included local church ministries that serve as the base of support for the roma people group in the balkans. This support includes grants for education, for children to attend summer camps, wood to heat homes, and food for the hungry. Financial aid and mentoring is provided to the leaders of the local church who oversee these activities. In osijek, ceo provided leadership support to the evangelical theological seminary through engagement on its board of directors and providing faculty. In dakovo, ceo provided financial support for the local church leadership. These leaders function in various roles in national conferences and camp ministries. These activities provide spiritual support and mentoring to young people and families. In orahovica, ceo provided key leadership to the functioning of a camp ministry that reaches nationwide to train young people and families. Hungary in vac, ceo provided financial support for spiritual direction, mentoring and sports ministry through a local high school, an english club and a baseball team. Ceo leaders provided english instruction through private lessons and formal high school education. Baseball instruction was also provided to several elementary schools as a physical education supplementary activity. In budapest, ceo provided leadership support for a local church whose membership are from the deaf population. In south budapest, ceo aided local church leaders through financial support, leadership development and ministry coaching. The outreach of this local church included teaching, mentoring, and aid to the homeless and orphans. In szolnok, ceo provided leadership for a summer conference. Ceo leaders provided overall oversight, daily teaching sessions, individual counselling and coaching in personal discipleship. In matrakeresztes, ceo hosted five leader's retreats. These leaders came from hungary, usa, belarus, and croatia. This annual retreat, held in january, provides training and coaching, direct and indirect instruction on discipleship, and facilitates reflection and planning for the ministry year ahead. The sessions also include outdoor activity to nurture the whole person. Ceo provided resource material to all, and financial assistance to those participants who had financial need so as to enable their attendance. In szekszard leaders from three countries gathered for the annual ceo women's retreat for reflection, relaxation and mutual encouragement. Belarus ceo provided financial support and coaching to enhance english instruction and local church support. Ukraine in vinnytsia, ceo provided teaching in local churches and at the ukraine theological seminary. In kyiv, ceo provided coaching and sabbatical supervision. Multiple nations during the year, the organization incurred travel costs for the executive director (e-d) to make site visits to support, train, and ensure mission appropriate activity of ministry partners in europe. The e-d provided mentoring and coaching to 115 leaders who are serving in churches, schools, theological institutions, and non-governmental organizations in six nations. This mentoring took place during three periodic on-site visits to the field as well as through various forms of on-line communication.
