“The process for determing the compensation of the organization's officers and key employees includes 1)review and approval by the board of directors upon the recommendation of the executive committee, 2)use of data as to comparable compensations, and 3)contemporaneous documentation and record keeping. During the review and approval process the employee undergoes a formal evaluation process which is headed by a member of the board. This review is then used by the executive committee when determining the budget. The executive committee also obtains salary surveys from guidestar and career builders.com to use when determining the employee's salary. All of the board and executive committes's decisions regarding compensation are reflected in the meeting minutes.”
