Activity 2

Cardiovascular services - a comprehensive Early Detection Center, aimed at identifying cardiac disease early and referring patients to physicians as necessary for prompt and effective treatment, strong relationships with other Bon Secours hospitals for the delivery of advanced cardiac interventions, such as cardiac surgery, and a large community outreach program. A new state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory will be installed at Mary Immaculate in mid-2013, enhancing physicians' ability to better manage and treat cardiac disease in area patients.

Activity 3

Women and children services provided added capacity and resources so that the needs of the community for OB care would continue to be met. Mary Immaculate also offers advanced nursery services through a neonatal specialty care nursery. Bon Secours also offers the largest curriculum of family and parenting classes through its Love & Learn program. In the last year, Mary Immaculate expanded its gynecology offering by introducing gynecological oncology services (board certified and fellowship trained surgeon) and an infusion center for women suffering from such cancers.
