“Any person shall be eligible for membership in the american legion who was a member of the army, navy, marine corps, coast guard or aid force of the united states and assigned to active duty at some time during specific time periods outlined in the articles. Membership in the american legion is membership in the national organization of the american legion by affiliation with posts.”

“All members of the american legion post 206 in good standing have the right to vote for the officers of the post. Each post has the right to send 5 delegates to the national convention to vote on national legion issues.”
