Board members sign the conflict of interest policy each year.”

“In september of 2018, the air force memorial foundation's (afmf) board voted to transfer the assets of the afmf to afa as of september 2018, and the corresponding net assets at december 31, 2018 are classified under gaap as board-designated net assets without donor restriction. The designation represent afa's intent to fully honor the legal restriction that was placed on the original donations to the afmf, which limited the use of these funds to the foundation's mission. Additionally, the board voted to move the non-real assets of the afa veteran benefits assocition to the afa corporation and to dissolve the afavba corporation. This resulted in a transfer of $19,941,710 from afavba to afa, of which $14,053,374 is classified as board-designated net assets without donor restriction.”
