Supplemental Narrative

Financial Statement Notes

Part X : FIN48 Footnote

In general, when tax returns are filed, it is highly certain that some positions taken would be sustained upon examination by the taxing authorities, while others are subject to uncertainty about the merits of the position taken or the amount of the position that would be ultimately sustained. The benefit of a tax position is recognized in the financial statements in the period during which, based on all available evidence, management believes it is more likely than not that the position will be sustained upon examination, including the resolution of appeals or litigation processes, if any. Tax positions taken are not offset or aggregated with other positions. Tax positions that meet the more-likely-than-not recognition threshold are measured as the largest amount of tax benefit that is more than 50 percent likely of being realized upon settlement with the applicable taxing authority. The portion of the benefits associated with tax positions taken that exceeds the amount measured as described above is reflected as a liability for unrecognized tax benefits in the accompanying balance sheets, along with any associated interest and penalties that would be payable to the taxing authorities upon examination. Community Bridges, Inc. has determined that no such liabilities were required at June 30, 2025.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActyOtherGrp/Desc2The Community Bridges Mentoring Program connects positive female role models with diverse high school girls for an impactful mentoring experience. Our High School and Mentoring Program Manager recruits women from diverse work, economic, and educational backgrounds and individually pairs them with a high school girl from our Community Bridges Girls Program. Throughout the course of the year a mentor and mentee work together to achieve the mentees long-and short-term goals while developing a close, caring relationship based upon consistency, mutual respect and trust. Mentors and mentees engage in monthly training activities and events including youth development workshops, service opportunities, and college tours. A Mentor Discussion and Activity Guide provides topics to discuss including career prospects, mental health and body image, and self-efficacy/advocacy. These activities and discussions foster strong mentor/mentee relationships, providing girls with the network of support they need as they navigate high school and the college/career application process. In FY25 we had 27 mentoring matches with 478 hours of reported mentoring.
IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActyOtherGrp/Desc3The Community Bridges Family Institute provides parents and/or guardians of CB girls with opportunities to build skills, competencies, and social capital through workshops, participation in girls projects and events, and connections to needed services. In FY25 Community Bridges served 408 families through the CB Family Institute (special events and family support) and connections to outside resources this year serving a total of 1,729 family members. CB families participated in 25 family events where several family members participated. Additionally, several family members served as chaperones for CB girl field trips.
