Mission

The carbon utilization research council (curc) is an industry coalition focused on technology solutions for the responsible use of our fossil energy resources in a balanced portfolio to support our nation's need for reliable and affordable energy. Curc serves as an industry voice and advocate by identifying technology pathways that enable the nation to enjoy the benefits of abundant and low cost fossil fuels in a manner compatible with societal energy needs and goals.

Governance Explanations

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6

There shall be two classes of member organizations: (1) steering committee member organizations, and (2) general member organizations. Both classes of member organizations shall be entitled to participate equally in corporation activities, except that only steering committee member organizations shall be entitled to nominate directors. Each steering committee member organization shall be entitled to nominate one director to the board of directors. General member organizations shall not be entitled to nominate any directors and shall be entitled to non-voting reprsentation at meetings of the steering committee. Both classes of member organizations shall be entitled to vote on electing the steering committee members and to have representatives serve on advisory committees to the steering committee.
