Activity 2

Women on corporate boards the review of outstanding business women continued as network 2000 began to develop a specific list of board-ready women and cultivation of and conversations with these women to become members of the organization as well. Don fry, president of greater baltimore committee, hosted a breakfast meeting with some of the key business leaders - both men and women - to open a dialogue between them and network 2000. The gathering also served to introduce network 2000 to some of the business leaders who were not aware of the organization. The spring leadership event, renamed pipeline to the boardroom, featured a panel of business leaders and strong interaction between the panel and the audience. The 2013 census of women board directors in maryland - where no real improvement in the number of women at board tables or in c-suites was noted - was also presented at this event.

Activity 3

Philanthropy committee the committee grant formula was revised again by the finance committee. The resulting budget was 11,200. The committee received 17 applications, interviewed four prospects and chose three of them - the center for remarkable women (6,000), my sister's circle (4,000) and notre dame of maryland university (1,200). All three grants support women's progress.
