Log Cabin Republicans

“One may become a member of log cabin republicans in two main ways: 1.any registered republican may join log cabin republicans by paying dues to the national organization. 2.any registered republican may join a log cabin chapter. Some chapters also allow for honorary members. Some chapters also allow non-republicans to join as "friends". Those members may or may not have the right to vote in the local chapter elections, depending upon their by-laws.”

“The draft of the 990 will be reviewed by the president and the administration and compliance committee chaired by the log cabin rebublican treasurer. Once approved by the administration and compliance committee, the treasurer will submit the form to the full board for approval. After approval from the board, the chairman will sign the form and file it timely with the irs. A copy will be retained permanently in the organization's address of record. Copies will be made available upon request.”

New board members are required to sign the conflict of interest policy statements as part of the on-boarding training. Directors are charged with the responsibility of bringing any changes that may violate the policy immediately as they become known. Any known conflicts of interest are communicated to the chairman of the board and the president. Members who violate the policy are subject to termination from the board.”
