FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

We, the community of meeting ground, respect and serve persons at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness by meeting basic human needs, connecting people to services, fostering spirtiual and emotional well-being, and advocating for those whose voices need to be heard with the goal of creating a 'path to a place they call home.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Mary randall center: the mary randall center is the first step for many on the path from shelter to home. It is a place where individuals currently experiencing homelessness are able to shower, collect their mail, launder their clothing, and link with medical services and job-seeking assistance. At the mary randall center individuals find the means to new life, restored dreams, and opportunities to build personal and professional skills. It offers programs to assist the participants to take those steps forward. We offer employment services such as resume writing, interviewing skills, and assistance in completing applications. We also offer anger management, stress management, budgeting and classes on harm reduction. We continue to address the needs of participants by having them make suggestions for additional programs and via needs determined by case management sessions. In 2019 the mary randall center served 422 persons in some capacity. During the fiscal year the lunch program moved to mrc from the mens' shelter; more than 4,000 meals were served.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4D

Meeting ground is dedicated to a ministry with and among the poor, the homeless, the sick, and the outcast by providing shelter and a place of refuge in cecil county, maryland and surrounding communities.

Financial Statement Notes

Schedule D, Page 2, Part IV, Line 2B

At various times the organization received and held very modest amounts of money for clients for purposes of saving and and safekeeping. That activity has been terminated; efforts continue to find those clients and return those assets.

Schedule D, Page 2, Part V, Line 4

The endowment is intended for the long-term support of meeting ground. It is invested in publicly traded securities and instruments with an objective of having a total return (income plus growth) that will both sustain the corpus of the endowment and allow for an annual distribution of 5.0% to the operating account of meeting ground.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0WAYFARERS' HOUSE: WAYFARER'S HOUSE IS A TRANSITIONAL HOME FOR WOMEN AND SINGLE PARENTS WITH CHILDREN EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS. ASSISTANCE WITH REFERRALS TO MEDICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDERS, JOB SEARCH OR IMPROVING EDUCATION, AS WELL AS INTENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT, HELP RESIDENTS MOVE TOWARD INDEPENDENCE. ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS ARE HELD WITH EACH RESIDENT TO IDENTIFY NEEDS SO THAT AN INDIVIDUAL SERVICE PLAN CAN BE COMPLETED. THIS IS A DETAILED PLAN THAT EVALUATES BARRIERS THAT CLIENTS MAY FACE TO FIND SAFE, STABLE HOUSING AND THE STRENGTHS THAT THEY HAVE TO HELP OVERCOME THESE CHALLENGES. DURING THE LAST FISCAL YEAR WAYFARERS' HOUSE PROVIDED SHELTER FOR 31 INDIVIDUALS (15 ADULTS AND 16 CHILDREN), 95% OF WHOM MOVED ON TO PERMANENT HOUSING.
