Mission

Westminster canterbury foundation raises funds for financial aid to lower income older adults to enter and live at westminster canterbury richmond and for other programs in this community serving seniors from independent living through nursing care: health services; memory support therapies; training of clinical and non-clinical staff and community interns; pastoral care; the arts; scholarships for children in our on-site child development center; and specialized staffing and equipment to include children with special needs in our center.

Fundraising for financial aid for low income elderly, healthcare, training, childcare, and other services.

PART X, LINE 2:

The internal revenue service (the "service") has determined that the foundation is exempt from income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (the "code"). The service has determined that the foundation is a publicly supported organization, not a private foundation, under sections 509(a)(1) and 170 (b)(1)(a)(vi) of the code. Accordingly, no income or excise taxes were required to be provided for in the accompanying financial statements. The corporation's 2011 through 2013 tax years are open for examination by the irs. 1 the foundation follows guidance in the income tax standard regarding the recognition and measurement of uncertain tax positions. This standard does not have a significant impact on the financial statements. The foundation follows the accounting standard for contingencies for evaluating uncertain tax positions.
