Mission

To provide opportunities for the Washington State Chapter of the NAIOP and its members to engage in service projects to benefit nonprofit organizations and public institutions that improve the quality of life in the state, expand diversity and inclusion efforts in commercial real estate development, and provide financial support to students and academic institutions in the field of commercial real estate.

COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT PROJECTS - SINCE 1990, MEMBERS HAVE MADE FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS, DONATED CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS, AND GIVEN HOURS OF THEIR TIME AND LABOR TO MAKE NAIOP'S COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT PROJECTS SUCCESSFUL. PAST PROJECTS HAVE INCLUDED RYTHER CHILD CENTER, WHERE WE PROVIDED PAINTING, FENCE BUILDING, NEW PLAYGROUND, AND SHED CONSTRUCTION FOR TROUBLED KIDS AND TEENS TRYING TO REBUILD THEIR LIVES; DES MOINES STATE BEACH PARK INCLUDED CONSTRUCTION OF SALMON OBSERVATION PLATFORMS AT A LOCAL WATERWAY; AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF FENCES AT AN AREA PARK, AND THE RESTORATION OF THE SENIOR CENTER; AND SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOME WHICH INCLUDED RENOVATION OF THE GYMNASIUM AND TEEN CENTER FOR TROUBLED YOUTHS.$0$45,787
Real Estate Challenge - This unique competition features teams from the University of Washington, the University of British Columbia, and the University of Alberta; each vying for bragging rights and the prestige associated with the mastery of the event. Students from each university's real estate program will compete from mid-January through late March to create and present a development proposal for a multi-faceted and challenging real-world project.$0$13,712
Property Tours - Each year, the Foundation offers a tour of an area or property that is of special significance to the commercial real estate industry. It is a half-day program that enables members to get an inside look at new developments or redevelopment activities.
