Activity 2

The mission of the Office of the Associate Provost for Research (OAPR) is "to provide to those individuals who are admitted quality research opportunities and experiences that are consistent with the overall University Commitment." The Research Division is also responsible for maintaining an infrastructure within a supportive environment that encourages both faculty and students to produce research with results that are making our world better every day. Prestigious research projects underway by DSU faculty members serve to enhance DSU's land-grant mission and its contributions to the nation's research efforts. DSU was awarded a $10.5 million research grant that will fund the establishment of the Delaware Center for Neuroscience Research. A new state-of-the art Optical Science Center for Applied Research (OSCAR) will be the new home for the University's prolific Optics Program. The National Science Foundation's (NSF) Center for Research Excellence in Science and Technology has awarded DSU a five-year $5 million grant in support of the school's optics program.

Activity 3

Auxiliary Enterprises - The School undertakes a number of activities to benefit the student body , including operating housing (dormitory) complexes, a cafeteria, campus book store, vending machines and other incidentals necessary to campus life. These activities might also include student services, institutional support, academic support, public service, and other services.
